Biletnikoff Award winner and consensus All-American to be recognized at Acrisure Stadium
PITTSBURGH—The Pitt Football program will honor former Panther great Antonio Bryant during this week's game against Boston College at Acrisure Stadium.
Bryant, one of college football's most dynamic receivers at the turn of the century, captured the program's first Biletnikoff Award and earned consensus All-America honors following a landmark sophomore season in 2000. He was also the 2000 BIG EAST Co-Offensive Player of the Year, finishing with 68 receptions for 1,302 yards and 11 touchdowns. Not only did he set a BIG EAST single-season record for receiving yards, but he also served as a catalyst in reestablishing Pitt's national profile.
A three-year letterman at Pitt (1999–2001), Bryant was a two-time First-Team All-BIG EAST selection (2000, 2001) before being selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the second round of the 2002 NFL Draft. He went on to play eight NFL seasons with Dallas, Cleveland, San Francisco and Tampa Bay, recording 5,685 receiving yards and 30 touchdowns.
Kickoff against Boston College is slated for noon ET on Saturday, Oct. 4, and the game will be televised nationally on ACC Network.
