
Mosher and Babcock Earn ACC Player of the Week Honors

PITTSBURGH – Olivia Babcock and Brooke Mosher were named ACC Setter of the Week and Offensive Player of the Week, respectively, for the second time this season, announced by the conference on Monday. The duo powered Pitt to two top 15 wins over No. 11 SMU for a 2-0 start in ACC play.
Babcock averaged 6.06 points per set, 5.67 kills per set, 3.22 digs per set and 0.78 blocks per set while hitting for an impressive .419 clip for the week. She notched a team-high 22 kills and 12 digs while hitting .400 in the first match against No. 11 SMU along with four blocks and an assist. Babcock wrapped up the week with a season-high 29 kills while hitting .434 against the Mustangs along with a career-high and match-high 17 digs, three blocks and an assist in the four-set win.
Mosher averaged 11.44 assists per set, 1.78 digs per set and 0.56 aces and blocks per set against the Mustangs. She added a previous career-high 51 assists, seven digs, a season-high five aces and four blocks and two kills in the five-set win in Dallas. The redshirt senior followed that up with a new career-high 52 assists, nine digs, a block and a kill in the four-set win against SMU in Pittsburgh, guiding Pitt to an efficient .310 hitting percentage.
The No. 5 Panthers return to the Fitzgerald Field House on Friday to host Clemson at 6 p.m. on ACCNX and finish the slate on Sunday against Georgia Tech at noon. The match against the Yellow Jackets can be streamed on ACC Network.
