8:13: Antonio Chadha connects on a fourth field goal, this one from 38 yards, to cut Boston College's lead to 27-21. Pitt trails by six.
13:03: Evan Dickens adds another touchdown for Boston College to push the Eagles' lead to 27-18. Mason McKenzie's 53-yard heave to Landon Wright set up the score, and Pitt's Zion Ferguson only caught him at the one-yard line.
THIRD QUARTER
00:22: Antonio Chadha makes it a three-point game with a 52-yard field goal. He's now 3-for-3 on field goals this afternoon, accounting for half of Pitt's 18 points.
5:07: Damon Ferguson Jr. fumbles, and Boston College's Marcus Townsend recovers at the Pitt 48.
10:25: Antonio Chadha adds another field goal, this one from 29 yards, to give Pitt its first points since the seven-minute mark of the first quarter. Boston College leads 21-15.

14:54: In his first career start, freshman Corey Dailey finds Blue Hicks for a 75-yard touchdown on the first play of the game. Pitt takes an early 7-0 lead.
STARTERS
Pitt is making a change at quarterback. Freshman Corey Dailey will get the start at Boston College, taking over for fifth-year Holden Geriner, who started against North Carolina after Mason Heintschel tore his ACL against Virginia Tech.
Dailey has played in just one game at Pitt, but he made it count against Bucknell, going 3-for-5 for 57 yards and an 18-yard touchdown pass to Tyreek Robinson in the fourth quarter.
He arrived as a four-star prospect and the No. 13 quarterback in the country according to 247Sports. A four-year starter at Seguin High School in Texas, he rewrote the school's record book with 9,138 passing yards and 100 passing touchdowns. As a senior, he completed 246 of 308 passes for 2,921 yards and 22 touchdowns while adding 660 rushing yards and 13 more scores on the ground.

INJURY REPORT

With kickoff approaching, the ACC has released its final availability report for Pitt's matchup at Boston College, and the Panthers will be without three contributors.
OUT:
S Josh Guerrier
Guerrier missed the North Carolina game, when Cole Woodson stepped in and came up with an interception. He's still fourth on the team with 24 tackles, behind only Alex Sanford Jr., Jeremiah Marcelin and Cruce Brookins. Woodson is likely to see the bulk of the work again.
RB Ja'Kyrian Turner
Turner has played in three games this season and has 30 carries for a 3.7 yards-per-carry average and a touchdown. After missing three games, he returned against Virginia Tech and North Carolina, though he did not play the entire game against UNC.
CB Rashan Murray
Murray has played in all six games this season and has five tackles. He's one of seven Panthers to record an interception. He isn't a starter, so his absence isn't a major loss.
GAME-TIME DECISION:
DL Nick James
James has played in every game this season and has been a key piece of the defensive line in limiting the run game. He has 13 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, two quarterback hurries and a fumble recovery.
GOOD NEWS:
DE Zach Crothers
Crothers was listed as probable on yesterday's injury report and isn't on today's availability report, meaning he's available. He hasn't played since the Bucknell game on 9/26 and has four tackles and three pass breakups.

PREVIEW
The Pitt Panthers (5-1 2-1 ACC) head back on the road to visit Boston College (2-3, 0-2 ACC) on Saturday at noon on ESPN2.
The Panthers have won five consecutive ACC road games, including this season's 35-33 victory at Virginia Tech. Pitt has scored at least 30 points in every game during that stretch, averaging 35.2 points.
Pitt and Boston College meet for the 36th time in a series that dates to 1959. The Panthers lead the all-time series, 19-16, and have won two of the past three meetings. A victory would give Pitt consecutive series wins and even its all-time road record against the Eagles at 9-9.
The Panthers defeated Boston College, 48-7, last season, producing 503 total yards and 31 first downs without committing a turnover. Pitt held the Eagles to 216 total yards and 27 rushing yards while forcing three turnovers.
