CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Pitt junior Izzy Starck was named the ACC Co-Setter of the Week Monday afternoon after leading Pitt to sweeps of Florida State and Miami over the weekend. It is the second time this year in which she has been named ACC Setter of the Week.
Pitt started the weekend by beating Florida State 25-17, 25-16, 25-21 as Starck dished out 37 assists to go with nine digs, four blocks and a service ace. The Panthers then swept a Miami team they were tied with in the ACC standings by scores of 25-12, 25-15, 27-25. In that contest, Starck had 33 assists, seven digs, three blocks, an ace and a kill.

She has helped Pitt to a 17-1 record, including 7-1 in the ACC and a No. 2 national ranking. Pitt was also ranked No. 2 in the NCAA selection committee's top 16 teams, announced Sunday. Finally, Pitt is No. 1 in the RPI, as released earlier today.
Pitt is on the road for the next four matches, beginning with a contest at Georgia Tech Friday at 7 p.m. and then at Clemson Sunday at 1 p.m. The Panthers are not back at home until hosting Duke on Nov. 6 at 7 p.m.
