Olivia Babcock Named ACC Offensive Player Of The Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – For the fourth time this season, Pitt senior right side Olivia Babcock has been named the ACC Offensive Player of the Week. The nation's leader in kills and points, Babcock led Pitt to a pair of road sweeps at Boston College and at Syracuse.
Babcock had 33 kills and hit .429 across the two weekend matches. With an ace at Syracuse, she tied Pitt's career program record with 175. She added eight digs and four blocks.
Against Boston College, Babcock had 15 kills, four digs, three blocks and an ace. She followed that up with 18 kills, four digs, an ace and a block against Syracuse, all while hitting .500 for the match.
Babcock earned ACC Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second consecutive week, the fourth time this year and the 13th time in her career. Over the course of four years, she has been recognized by the ACC with a weekly award 19 times (six ACC Freshman of the Week awards in 2023).
At 14-0 on the season, No. 2 Pitt will host No. 5 SMU Wednesday night at 7 p.m. Both teams are 4-0 in ACC play and will look to take control atop a crowded ACC leaderboard.
