Pitt returns to Acrisure Stadium this Saturday to host North Carolina in the Panthers' sixth game of the 2026 season. The Panthers and Tar Heels will meet for the 19th time in a series dating back to 1974, with Pitt winning three of the last five meetings, including a 34-24 victory in Chapel Hill in 2024.
Pitt enters the matchup ranked No. 25 nationally and undefeated at 5-0 following a dramatic 35-33 comeback victory over Virginia Tech. The Panthers overcame a 14-point deficit, forced four turnovers and scored 21 unanswered points to secure their fifth consecutive road win. Pitt has also dominated at home this season, outscoring opponents 157-34 across its first four games at Acrisure Stadium.
Saturday's matchup will feature a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Pitt's 1976 National Championship team as the Panthers look to extend their unbeaten start and remain among the ACC's top contenders.
