Pitt Diving Earns 72 Points on Second Day of ACC Championships

ATLANTA, Ga. – Mariana Osorio Mendoza finished 7th in the 1-meter finals on the second day of the ACC Championships, becoming the first Panther to qualify for finals in the event since 2016.
The Pitt women racked up 59 points on the day, with Osorio Mendoza leading wit 23 points on her 7th place finish. Ayla Debowsky earned also added a top-10 finish, taking 9th place and 20 points. Rachel Dickerson rounded out the scoring in 11th place, earning 16 points.
On the men's side, Noah Bernard took 15th place for 12 points, his second consecutive scoring day.
After day 2, the Pitt women sit in 4th place in the ACC Championships.
The Panthers will wrap up the diving portion of the championships tomorrow with the platform dive, while swimming kicks off their week with relays.
