Moon, Ugwu Named PNC Achievers of the Week

PITTSBURGH- Lacrosse's Avery Moon and track and field's Emeka Ugwu been named Pitt's PNC Achievers of the Week following standout performances last week.
Moon totaled 10 points as Pitt picked up two wins on the week, topping James Madison followed by Florida State to give the Panthers their most ACC victories in a single season in program history. Moon recorded five points in each contest and is now Pitt's all-time points leader with 126. She also set a new single-season program record with 25 assists and ranks fifth in the ACC in both assists per game (1.79) and points per game (3.86).
Ugwu won the men's shot put competition at the Pepsi Florida Relays last weekend. On his sixth and final throw, Ugwu launched an 18.43 meters toss to come from behind and take the win.
