Starck, Tall Named PNC Achievers of the Week

PITTSBURGH – Volleyball's Izzy Starck and men's soccer's Mamadou Tall have been named Pitt's PNC Achievers of the Week following standout performances last week.
Junior setter Starck made her debut in a Pitt uniform over the weekend, leading the No. 4-ranked Panthers to a four-set win over No. 3 Kentucky and a sweep of Xavier. Named MVP of the team's win over Kentucky, Starck had 41 assists and 13 digs, adding five blocks and two kills. She then had 29 assists and 10 digs in the win over Xavier that pushed the Panthers to 2-0 on the young season.
Freshman Tall started at forward for Pitt in both season-opening games, logging 125 minutes and six shots across the week. He scored the Panthers' only goal against Maryland, finishing off a Pablo Portero assist in the 67th minute. Through two starts, Tall has been a fixture in Pitt's attack as the Panthers opened the 2026 season 1-1.
