Pitt Volleyball Tapped For Nine Nationally Televised Matches

PITTSBURGH – The Pitt Volleyball team, which has made five consecutive appearances in the NCAA Division I national semifinals, has been selected for nine nationally televised matches during the 2026 regular season.
Pitt will play four non-conference contests on ESPN or ESPN2 and will then host five ACC matches on ESPN, ESPN2 or the ACC Network.
The Panthers open the season at the AVCA First Serve Showcase and will face Kentucky on Sunday, Aug. 23 at 4 p.m. on ESPN. The next weekend, Pitt hosts the Opening Spike Classic and both matches will be nationally televised. On Friday, Aug. 28, Pitt will host Kansas in Petersen Events Center at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN2. Two days later, the Panthers host Wisconsin at noon on ESPN.
Pitt will then face Tennessee in the Shriners Children's Showdown at the Net at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Kissimmee, Fla. on Sept. 9. That match will be televised on ESPN2.
The brand-new Victory Heights Arena and Sports Performance Center will get its first chance to shine on national television when Pitt hosts Stanford on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 8:30 p.m. on ESPN. The Panthers will then host SMU back inside Petersen Events Center on Wednesday, Oct. 7 on ACC Network.
The ACC Network and Victory Heights Arena will be home to the next two Pitt national television appearances as the Panthers host Miami on Oct. 18 at noon and Notre Dame on Nov. 11 at 7 p.m.
Pitt's final scheduled national television appearance will be Nov. 15 as the Panthers host Louisville on ESPN2 inside Victory Heights. Originally scheduled for 5 p.m., first serve has been moved to 8:30 p.m. to accommodate a national television audience.

Fans will have the opportunity to get a first glimpse of the 2026 Pitt Volleyball team Saturday as the Panthers host the Blue/Gold scrimmage at 2 p.m. This will be the first Pitt athletics event inside Victory Heights Arena and a free fan fest will begin at noon, featuring yard games, a face painter, concessions offerings, a live Q&A session, and more.
