Pitt Varsity Letter Club Opens Nominations for 2027 Awardees of Distinction

The Pitt Varsity Letter Club is now accepting nominations for the 2027 Awardees of Distinction and Rising Star Award.
First established in 1961, the Awardees of Distinction is one of the highest and longest-standing honors in Pitt Athletics, recognizing former student-athletes who have distinguished themselves in their professions or communities while enhancing the legacy and prestige of Pitt's intercollegiate athletic programs. To be eligible, a nominee must have earned a varsity letter from the University of Pittsburgh 25 or more years ago.
The Rising Star Award recognizes former Pitt student-athletes who are 10 years or less into their careers but have already begun to make a significant impact in their field or community.
The 2027 honorees will be celebrated at the annual Varsity Letter Club Awards Dinner, with the date and details to be announced at a later date.
