Lindsay Offutt, a Pitt graduate and former NCAA Nationals qualifier as a Panther, was named the Director of Operations for the University of Pittsburgh women’s gymnastics program in February of 2017.
In her new role, Offutt will be managing the team’s travel and day-to-day operations. Since the start of the 2017 season, she has been serving as the gymnastics Meet Director for Pitt.
Offutt graduated in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
“We are overjoyed to have Lindsay back with the program,” said head coach Debbie Yohman. “She was an outstanding gymnast and leader for us in her time as a student-athlete and we are excited to have her transition to be our Director of Operations while she is pursuing her law degree.”
During her time at Pitt, Offutt was named to the All-EAGL First Team on floor her first three seasons before being named the EAGL Senior Gymnast of the Year in her final campaign. She secured at least one first place title in 10 of 12 meets that season. Offutt led the Panthers to their firs-ever EAGL Championship in 2016 where she was named a member of the EAGL All-Tournament First Team in every event, including the all-around. She was also a qualifier for Nationals in 2016, the first Panther to qualify since 2007.
Offutt is the Pitt record holder in the all-around with a score of 39.525.
While serving as the Director of Operations, Offutt will be attending the University of Pittsburgh Law School to pursue a J.D. in Sports and Entertainment Law.
