While at Wallenpaupack, Ellex posted an 11-1 record in his last two years of varsity play, made 4 saves and had an average 1.23 stike outs in 95 innings...helped his team capture the Division 1 Lackawanna League Championship title in 2007...selected as the Times Tribune All-Region Player of the Year following his senior season...two-time Wallenpaupack Area High School Offensive Player of the Year (2006 and 2007)...in 2006, he led the Lackawanna Division 1 League with the most strikeouts and was named as the League[apos]s All-Star Pitcher...two-year member of the Moosic Mets Travel...played on the American Legion District 15 team where he was named their player of the year in 2006 and two-time pitcher of the year (2006 and 2007)...that same season, he set the American Legion district record with 19 strikeouts in a single game...in 2007 posted the best batting average (.568) in the District 15 American Legion team.
