2012: Earned six saves in 16 relief appearances as a freshman...owned a 4.08 ERA in 17.2 innings of work...recorded 14 strikeouts and allowed just six walks...held his opposition to a .269 batting average in 67 at-bats...struck out 11 batters in the first 7.1 innings of his collegiate career...picked up his first career win in a 10-9 extra-inning win over Cincinnati on April 1, pitching 3.1 scoreless innings...notched his first career save in Pitt[apos]s 9-8 victory against Michigan, striking out two batters in a perfect inning (Feb. 17).
High School: Rated as the top pitcher in Pennsylvania in the 2011 class by Perfect Game...was a two-time all-conference selection at North Allegheny...had a phenomenal high school pitching career, finishing with a 12-1 record - including nine saves- with 111 strikeouts in 82 innings...guided North Allegheny to the WPIAL championship as a sophomore and a runner-up finish as a junior...was named all-area and a top-10 player in the WPIAL in 2010...competed in Perfect Game National Showcase...member of the New York Yankees Area Code Team and East Coast Pro.
