Bio
2018: Started all 14 games on Pitt’s offensive line…started the initial 11 games at left guard and the final three at center…Dintino’s move to center was precipitated by original starter Jimmy Morrissey’s season-ending injury at Wake Forest (Nov. 17)…received Honorable Mention All-ACC recognition…finished his career as a four-year letterman...named to the All-ACC Academic Football Team.
2017: Played in all 12 games on the field goal/PAT unit…also served as the primary backup at center.
2016: Following an offseason move to offensive line, went on to play in 11 games, starting one…made his first career start in the opener against Villanova (lined up as a fullback)…primarily contributed on the field goal/PAT unit and also served as the top reserve at center.
2015: Played in 12 games to letter in his first active season…lone missed contest was the opener against Youngstown State…a reserve defensive tackle, the majority of Dintino’s action came on the field goal/PAT unit and in Pitt's "jumbo package" on offense as a fullback.
2014: Redshirted as a true freshman.
HIGH SCHOOL: Spent two years at Choate Rosemary Hall, a Connecticut prep school, and was a two-year, two-way starter...played offensive tackle and split his time between end and tackle on defense...rated the No. 1 overall prospect in Connecticut by 247Sports, No. 2 by Rivals and No. 4 by Scout...All-New England Prep selection...received the prestigious Harvard Football Award for Blocking, Tackling & Interference...in 2013, nearly 60% of his tackles were behind the line of scrimmage...compiled 40 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, seven sacks and three blocked kicks in eight contests...in 2012, led Choate to an 8-1 mark, tying the program record for single-season wins, and anchored an offensive front that helped team average 42 points and 260 rushing yards per game...played under Coach Erik Cooper...a standout wrestler who achieved a Top 5 finish at the Prep Nationals to earn All-America status...captained both the football and wrestling teams at Choate...also a lacrosse standout...Choate is the same prep school that produced President John F. PERSONAL: Connor Joseph Dintino, born 5/12/95, is the son of Chris and Alison Dintino...has three sisters and one brother...brother, Chris, played football at Massachusetts Maritime Academy...earned his bachelor's degree in finance and marketing and enrolled in Pitt's Katz Graduate School of Business.
