2014: Played in 12 games, starting 11 at defensive tackle...missed the regular-season finale at Miami due to an ankle injury...totaled 32 tackles, six TFLs, two sacks, four PBUs and a forced fumble on the year...had a season-high five tackles with a 15-yard sack at Virginia...matched his season high with five stops against Georgia Tech and added a forced fumble...had a two-yard sack at FIU.
2013: Played in all 13 games, starting one (Nov. 2 at Georgia Tech)...saw time at both defensive tackle and nose tackle...totaled 25 tackles, 2.5 TFLs, a sack assist, three pass breakups and a fumble recovery...in his lone start of the season, had a career-high seven tackles at Georgia Tech and the first fumble recovery of his career (forced by Aaron Donald and recovered at the Pitt 39 to halt a Yellow Jackets drive)...had three tackles and a sack assist vs. Bowling Green in the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl.
2012: Played in 11 games as a true freshman, starting one...totaled six tackles and 1.5 TFLs on the year...had a season-high three stops and 1.5 TFLs in a starting assignment vs. Gardner-Webb, replacing injured starter Aaron Donald at defensive tackle.
HIGH SCHOOL: One of the top defensive end prospects in the Midwest...compiled 86 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 15 sacks and four fumble recoveries as a senior at St. Edward...rated the No. 27 prospect in Ohio by Rivals and No. 36 by Scout...rated the nation's No. 31 strongside defensive end by Rivals...Northeast Lakes All-District honoree...helped team to an 8-4 record and the state playoffs his final year...as a junior, Render helped St. Edward to the state championship with a 15-0 record and No. 3 finish in the Rivals national high school team rankings...played under Coach Rick Finotti.
