2012: Played in eight games as a special teams contributor to letter...had four tackles on coverage units, including a season-high two stops at Cincinnati.

2011: Joined Pitt as a spring walk-on and provided depth at tailback...transferred to Pitt from Miami Dade Community College but did not play football there...the 2011 season marked Brown[apos]s first taste of organized football since high school...made one game appearance (Syracuse)...Big East All-Academic Football Team honoree.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played running back and linebacker at Miami Norland Senior under Coach Nigel Dunn.

PERSONAL: Desmond Dion Brown, born 5/29/90, is the son of Adrianne Moss and Eddie Brown...has two brothers...brother Antonio is a wide receiver with the Pittsburgh Steelers...his father, 'Touchdown' Eddie Brown, was a star receiver at Louisiana Tech before going on to become a two-time Arena Football League MVP with the Albany/Indiana Firebirds (1994-2003)...he retired as the AFL[apos]s career leader with 303 TDs and, as part of the AFL[apos]s 20th anniversary in 2006, was selected the league[apos]s top all-time player...psychology major.
