2021: Played in 12 games on special teams and as a reserve tight end…missed consecutive games (New Hampshire and Georgia Tech) due to injury…had one catch for 11 yards at Duke.
2020: A walk-on his initial three seasons at Pitt, Zilinskas was rewarded with a scholarship prior to the 2020 season…played in 10 games, serving as a reserve tight end and on special teams…had a 14-yard catch against Virginia Tech on 4th-and-3 to extend a drive that ended with a touchdown.
2019: Provided depth at linebacker…did not play in any games.
2018: Began the season at quarterback but ultimately moved to tight end…did not play in any games.
2017: Enrolled at Pitt in January following his transfer from John Carroll University…joined team as a walk-on quarterback for spring drills…sat out the 2017 season under NCAA transfer guidelines.
AT JOHN CARROLL (2016): Spent one season at JCU, an NCAA Division III program…did not play in any games.

PERSONAL: Jacob Mark Zilinskas, born 10/11/97, is the son of Mark and Susan Zilinskas…has two sisters…father was a four-year starter in football at IUP from 1983-86…sister, Rachel, was a two-time NCAA champion swimmer at the University of Georgia…earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing and is now enrolled in Pitt’s Katz Graduate School of Business.
