2009: Joined Pitt as a spring walk-on...played in six games to letter...saw time primarily on special teams.

At Texas Tech (2006-08): Spent three seasons as a walk-on fullback for the Red Raiders...did not play in any games.

High School: Two-year letterman under Centennial coach Mark Howard, playing fullback and linebacker...was a member of Centennial[apos]s first graduating class...also a member of the Powerlifting team.

Personal: Joseph Michael Capp, born 1/25/88, is the son of Daniel and Darlene Capp...has one sister...although from Texas, Capp actually has Pittsburgh roots...father is a native of the Munhall borough, while mother is from the Greenfield neighborhood...the family moved when Daniel, a Marine, was transferred to Texas...administration of justice major.
