2014: Played in all 13 games, starting 12 at nose tackle...totaled 27 tackles, two TFLs, three PBUs and a fumble recovery...had a career-high six tackles vs. Georgia Tech...had five tackles and a career-best two TFLs at Virginia...recovered a fumble (the first of his career) in the Virginia Tech game; recovery came at the Hokies' 22 and Pitt parlayed the turnover into a TD three plays later for a 14-3 lead.
2013: Did not play in any games and redshirted.
2012: Played in 13 games, starting one at nose tackle...totaled eight tackles on the year...made first career start in opener vs. Youngstown State...had a season-high two tackles vs. Gardner-Webb...had two quarterback hurries at Notre Dame.
2011: Joined Pitt in January as a mid-year transfer from Milford (N.Y.) Academy...went on to letter as a true freshman defensive tackle, playing in all 13 games...had seven tackles on the year...had a season-high two tackles in three different games (Buffalo, Utah and Connecticut).
PREP SCHOOL: Rated the country's No. 10 prep school prospect by Rivals...earned Milford's Most Valuable Defensive Player award after compiling 28 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, two sacks and two blocked field goals...team went 11-1 against a schedule primarily comprised of collegiate competition...played under Milford coach Bill Chaplick.
HIGH SCHOOL: At Woodland Hills was selected first team All-State Class AAAA by the Pennsylvania Sports Writers...Pennsylvania Football News All-Class AAAA...Pittsburgh Post-Gazette "Fabulous 22"...Pittsburgh Tribune-Review "Terrific 25"...was the only two-way starter for Woodland Hills' 2009 WPIAL Class AAAA champion team...collected 61 tackles and seven sacks as a senior defensive tackle and also started at offensive guard...had 55 tackles and six sacks as a junior while also starting at tight end...in his three seasons as a varsity starter, helped Woodland Hills to the WPIAL playoffs each season...in addition to the '09 WPIAL title, the Wolverines finished 12-2 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the PIAA state playoffs...set Woodland Hills records for power lifting, bench pressing 340 pounds and squatting 620...selected to play in the Big 33 Football Classic...rated one of the top 30 overall prospects in Pennsylvania by Scout and SuperPrep...SuperPrep All-Northeast Team...PrepStar All-East Region...played under Coach George Novak.
