2011: Entered his first active season as a linebacker but shifted to running back during training camp...played in all 13 games, seeing time as a reserve fullback and on special teams...did not register any carries but made five special teams tackles...had a season-high two stops in both the Iowa and Rutgers contests.
2010: Joined Pitt in January as a mid-year enrollee out of Milford Academy (N.Y.) and went on to redshirt as a true freshman.
PREP SCHOOL: Spent the 2009 fall semester at Milford Academy...played quarterback and helped the Falcons to an 8-5 record against a schedule comprised primarily of collegiate competition...was a 1,000-yard passer with 17 touchdowns...had scholarship offers from Temple and Navy.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a standout quarterback at St. Joseph[apos]s Prep, earning All-Philadelphia Catholic League (PCL) and All-City under Coach Gil Brooks...threw for 1,200 yards and accounted for 15 touchdowns as a senior, helping team to an 8-4 record and the semifinals of the PCL playoffs...helped St. Joseph[apos]s to a three-year mark of 28-10 (.737) during his varsity career, including two PCL championship games...rated one of the top 45 prospects in Pennsylvania by Rivals...'ESPN Rise' All-Eastern Pennsylvania...selected to play in the Philadelphia City All-Star Game, where he set records for passing yards (175) and passing yards per attempt (13.5 avg.)...also played in the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association (PSFCA) East-West All-Star Game...in addition to football, also was a member of St. Joseph[apos]s nationally ranked lacrosse team as well as its track and field team...Academic All-State...John Spahr Award for Leadership and Excellence on and off the field.
PERSONAL: Mark Paul Giubilato Jr., born 10/2/90, is the son of Christine Lanni and Mark Giubilato Sr....has one brother and one sister...business general management major.
