Turnley was a four-year letterman on the Pitt offensive line, playing in 43 contests from 2009-12. He closed his collegiate career by making 26 consecutive starts at center. Turnley was named All-Big East as a senior after helping the Panthers produce a 3,000-yard passer and 1,000-yard rusher, the first time in school history that combination was achieved in the same season.
Following his senior year, Turnley played in the prestigious East-West Shrine Game and signed a free-agent contract with the Buffalo Bills.
A graduate of nearby Hopewell High School, Turnley was an all-state football player for the Vikings as well as an all-conference performer in basketball. He earned his bachelor[apos]s degree in communication from the University of Pittsburgh.
