2010: Joined Pitt in January as a mid-year signee out of Navarro Junior College in Texas...played in 11 games, largely in special teams capacities, to letter...had three tackles.
Junior College: Compiled 68 tackles, 18 pass breakups and three interceptions in his final season at Navarro (2009)...unanimous first team All-Southwest Junior College Football Conference (SWJCFC)...helped Navarro to the winningest season in school history with an 11-1 record...the Bulldogs reached No. 1 in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) polls and ultimately finished No. 3 following a 37-26 win over Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in the CHAMPS Heart of Texas Bowl...played under Navarro coach Nick Bobeck.
High School: Was a standout running back at Houston[apos]s Alief Hastings High...rushed for 1,098 yards, had 433 yards receiving and scored 13 touchdowns as a senior... all-district...rated one of the top 100 football players in the Houston area...played under Coach Greg Alexander...also ran track.
