Jamie Guy, a diversely talented veteran of the football video profession, enters his first season as Pitt’s director of football video services.
Guy joined Pitt from the National Football League, where he served as the Carolina Panthers’ video coordinator during the 2023 season.
Prior to his time in Charlotte, Guy was the longtime director of sports video at the University of Colorado. He had a primary focus on football but his efforts stretched to the Buffaloes’ entire athletic department during a more than two-decade tenure (2001-23).
The Collegiate Sports Video Association (CSVA) has four times honored Guy as a conference Video Coordinator of the Year. He most recently earned the award following the 2022 season.
While at Colorado, he produced a number of highly regarded video shorts that earned him a pair of Emmy awards from the Heartland Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS). Additionally, his 2015 feature titled “Forever” was named the FootballScoop FBS Video of the Year.
His additional experience includes one season with the Chicago Enforcers of the old XFL.
Guy was a general studies major at the University of Cincinnati and a four-year student assistant in the Bearcats’ athletic video department.
Married, his wife’s name is Kimberly.
