Ford McLiney enters his first season as the men's and women's assistant diving coach, after being named to the staff in August 2024.
"I'm excited for Ford to join our program and help enhance the athletic careers of our divers, as well as helping bridge the gap from student athletes into adulthood," said head coach Katie Kasprzak.
McLiney was a U.S. National Team finalist on all three diving events and had a standout collegiate career at Texas A&M. The Kansas City, Mo. native became the first SEC conference champion for the Aggies after tallying two SEC Championship titles in 2014 on the 3-meter springboard and on the platform. McLiney also claimed second place on the platform at the SEC Championships in 2013.
Prior to joining the Aggies, McLiney spent his freshman season at Florida State where he took home a silver medal on the 3-meter and earned All-ACC honors at the 2012 ACC Championships.
McLiney spent last season as the volunteer diving coach at Rockhurst University where he coached Caroline Knopke to become the first Rockhurst swimmer or diver to qualify for the NCAA Division II Championships.
