2004-2005: Dennis Nemtsanov was named the Big East Diver of the Year...claimed titles in the 3-meter and platform dives, while placing second on the 1-meter board at the Big East Championships...earned the meet title four times in the 1-meter and three times in the 3-meter boards...voted the most valuable diver by his peers.
2003-2004: Nemtsanov won his first Big East title, taking first place on the 1-meter board and earned two All-Big East honors on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards...advanced to his second straight NCAA Championship meet and again earned Honorable Mention All-America status by finishing 11th on the 1-meter board, becoming only the second Panther to earn Honorable Mention status in more than one year.
2002-2003: Nemtsanov became Pittsburgh's top diver in the second half of his freshman campaign and was the only men's team qualifier for the NCAA Championships...earned honorable mention All-America status with an 11th-place finish in the platform event in Austin, Texas...earned three All-Big East honors with second-place finishes in the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard competitions as well as the platform event...scored a season-best 564.2 points on the 3-meter board at the Big East Championships.
AT LSU: A native of Russia, Nemtsanov attended Louisiana State University but did not compete so he transferred to Pittsburgh with freshman eligibility.
PERSONAL: Born November 1, 1982...son of Sergey and Marina Nemtsanov...has one sister...an information sciences major.
