HIGH SCHOOL: Schmitt was named to the All-Area first team for the 200 free and 400 free relay as well as the All-Area second team as a member of the 200 free relay...named Most Improved Swimmer as a senior...a member of the 2006 NSCA Junior National Team with the Ann Arbor Swim Club which placed sixth in the 800 free relay and third place overall...a member of the 2005 Michigan Long Course State Champion Team with the Ann Arbor Swim Club.
