2007-08: Moved up to the 184-pound weight class...Tallied a 9-13 mark in open tournaments...Went 2-2 at the Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Classic and 3-2 at the Edinboro Open, including a pin of Edinboro[apos]s Chuck Schultz less than 30 seconds into the first period.

2006-07: Brock Mantella won three bouts in his first season, compiling a 3-6 record at 165 pounds...Went 2-1 at the W&J Open with wins over Jacob Benczo of Waynesburg and Paul Connor of Elizabethtown...Defeated Gannon[apos]s Art Moss, 3-2, in the Edinboro Open.

HIGH SCHOOL: Mantella was a four-time state qualifier and two-time state placewinner in Georgia, finishing second in 2006 and third in 2005...Two-time All-America selection...Named Most Outstanding Wrestler as a junior and senior...Holds school records for most wins and pins...Compiled a record of 155-40 under coach Richard Barden...Three-time member of the Georgia National Dual Team...Also played varsity soccer and was a member of the FCA and French Club.
