Filip Vittek is in his first season as assistant coach of the Pitt women’s tennis team.
Vittek joined the Panthers after spending his last four years playing at the collegiate level for the University of San Diego, posting a record of 84-38 in singles matches and 89-42 in doubles matches.
Vittek saw a successful career with the Toreros, winning the most double matches in program history (89) as well as receiving the Torero Rookie of the Year award.
He would help San Diego to four WCC Tournament Championships while receiving All-WCC First Team Singles and WCC All-Tournament Team Doubles four times.
Vittek also reached the No. 47 NCAA singles ranking at one point and the #7 NCAA doubles ranking during his playing career at San Diego.
