Anthony LaSala joined the University of Pittsburgh in June 2026 as an assistant director of student-athlete development for the Cathy and John Pelusi Family Life Skills Program.
Prior to taking on his role in the athletic department, LaSala earned a bachelor's degree in business information systems at Pitt while competing on the baseball team. He was a four-year letterman on the Pitt baseball team and served on the ACC Baseball Student-Athlete Advisory Group as well as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) at Pitt, helping to advocate for the needs and experiences of student-athletes across campus.
LaSala was selected as the 2026 Gold Standard Teammate of the Year, an honor awarded through the Panther Choice Awards and voted on by coaches and fellow student-athletes. Academically, he demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence, earning a 4.0 GPA during the fall 2023 semester.
