John Haut joined the University of Pittsburgh's Athletic Department in January of 2026 as a technical support analyst. In this role he assists the athletics department by troubleshooting hardware and software systems and supporting game day operations at sporting events throughout the year. Before this, he worked as a drop-in support desk coordinator for Pitt Digital where he assisted faculty, staff, and students with technical issues.
John studied computer science at the University of Pittsburgh and originally started his education at the University Of Pittsburgh at Greensburg.
He was born in McKeesport, Pa. but in 2011 he moved to North Huntingdon, Pa. where he resides currently.

The Cathedral Lawn
Favorite thing to do in Pittsburgh?
Going to as many Steelers games as possible throughout the season.
Favorite Summer Activity?
In the summer I love to ride ATV's and UTV's at a recreation area called Rock Run.
Hobbies outside of work?
I love to play pool when I have free time, either going out with friends or going to a pool hall and finding new competition!
