Katie Stumpp was promoted to Associate Athletic Director of Administration in April 2021. She oversees baseball, women’s soccer, spirit and band programs, as well as departmental oversight of Event Management, Sport Camps, Facility Rentals, and Graphics. She is a member of the Executive team, Senior Leadership team, and Sport Administration team.
Before joining Pitt, Stumpp worked in the Compliance Department at Purdue University as the Assistant Director of Camps and Compliance. She also served as the Associate Director of Event Management at The Ohio State University from 2014-2015, after her initial tenure at Purdue as the Facilities Utilization Manager in the Event Management department.
Stumpp participated in the 2023 Women Leaders Executive Institute and was a member of the 2010-11 NCAA post-graduate intern program. She began her career in 2008 as the personal family assistant to former NBA Coach Jim O’Brien and his family. Stumpp completed her Master of Studies in Law degree in Pitt’s School of Law in August of 2024.
The Wheeling, W.V., native, Stumpp and her husband, Nick O’Malley reside in Mt. Lebanon and have two children Nevin and Willow.
