Malik Hollings serves as one of Pitt Football’s defensive assistant coaches, primarily working with the defensive line.
Hollings joined the Panthers after working at the University of Minnesota as a defensive assistant (defensive line) beginning in May 2023. At Minnesota, he assisted with opponent film breakdowns, weekly reporting and tendency work, and prepared scout materials and weekly tip sheets to support game planning, practice preparation and in-game adjustments.
Prior to his time with the Golden Gophers, Hollings coached at Stevenson University (Aug. 2021–Mar. 2023), serving as the defensive line coach and defensive coordinator/linebackers coach. He began his coaching career at Salisbury University, working from 2018–21 as a student assistant (outside linebackers) before moving into a graduate assistant role with the defensive line.
Hollings earned his master’s degree in health and human physiology from Salisbury University in December 2021.
