Zach Makosey joined the University of Pittsburgh Department of Athletics in April 2023 and currently serves as the Director of Revenue Share and NIL Operations.
Previously, he served as the coordinator of Human Resources. In this role, Makosey assisted with new hires, all-temps, student employment, Pitt Sports Camps, parking, mandatory clearances, mandatory trainings, and much more.
Prior to joining the University of Pittsburgh Department of Athletics, Makosey worked at Zihmer Law Firm, LLC, where he served as one of the firm's primary paralegals. During his time at Zihmer Law Firm, LLC, he specialized in trust and estate planning, trust and estate administration, tax preparation, real estate, and business matters.
Makosey graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in criminology with a focus in business and public administration. He also graduated from Duquesne University School of Law in 2021 with a certificate in paralegal studies. More recently, Makosey graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2025 with a Master of Studies in Law with a specialization in human resources law.
An Elizabeth Township, Pa., native, Makosey currently resides in the Strip District.
