
Pittsburgh Routs St. Francis

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Vonteego Cummings returned to the University of Pittsburgh's lineup to score 21 points and Ricardo Greer also scored 21 to help the Panthers defeat St. Francis 95-69 on Tuesday.
Cummings suffered a broken hand on Oct. 25 and missed both of Pittsburgh's exhibition games and the regular season opener last Friday.
But Cummings started against the Red Flash (0-1) and played 30 minutes. He also had five assists and two steals.
Jarrett Lockhart also came back from an injury. He had just six points for Pittsburgh (2-0) in the season opener after spraining an ankle in an exhibition game, but had three 3-pointers in a 23-6 Panthers run near the end of the first half. He was 5 of 10 from 3-point range for the game and finished with 19 points.
Pittsburgh led 49-35 at halftime. In the second half, St. Francis cut the Panthers' lead to eight, 57-49, at 14:31. But Pitt went on a 31-10 run to seal the win.
Tom Fox scored a team-high 17 points for St. Francis.
