
Men's Basketball Gets Past Wright State

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) - Vontego Cummings scored 30 points, including 12 in the final two minutes, to lead unbeaten Pittsburgh to a 76-65 victory over Wright State on Friday night.
Ricardo Greer scored 15 points and Attila Cosby had 12 for Pittsburgh (3-0).
Sherman Curry had 19 points for Wright State (0-3). Keion Brooks and Kevin Melson had 14 apiece, and Inus Norville added 11.
Wright State took a quick 10-3 lead but couldn't maintain the momentum, falling behind by nine points at halftime and as many as 14 in the second half.
Norville had a pair of baskets in a 12-0 run that pulled Wright State within a point, and Melson made two free throws to tie the score at 61 with 3:18 to play.
Then Cummings went on his spree. He started with a pair of 3-pointers, made four consecutive free throws and a capped the rally with a layup with five seconds to play.
