Ralph Willard to Host Basketball Camps

PITTSBURGH - This summer, Head Coach of the Pittsburgh Panthers Men's Basketball program, Ralph Willard, will host of series of basketball camps including a day camp and two overnight camps.
Pittsburgh Panther Basketball Camp is open to boys aged 8 to 17. Space is limited in order to provide intensive individualized attention for each camper. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis.
The day camp will run from June 15-19. Cost is $175 and the camp will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Some features of the Day Camp include: offensive skill development stations, daily lectures by Pitt staff, minimum of two games daily, ball-handling trick of the day, lunch every afternoon in Sutherland Hall and Pittsburgh players as coaches. The camp will also highlight outstanding camp players with awards and contests such as best rebounder, best playmaker, team champs, most improved, Mr. Hustle and most valuable player.
Registration for day camp will be held at Fitzgerald Fieldhouse, the home of the Pittsburgh Panthers Basketball team.
The first overnight camp will run from June 26-July 1. The second overnight camp will run from July 31 - Aug. 5. Cost is $280 for overnighters and $210 for commuters for each camp, and both will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Each of the overnight camps will feature the following: overnight accommodations at Pitt's Sutherland Hall, Coach Willard's Offensive Improvement Series, guest lecturers, minimum of three games daily, daily offensive skill stations, as well as videotape sessions. Each overnight camp will also include a number of awards and contests such as most valuable player, 3-on-3 champion, hot shot champion, best defender, best rebounder, team champions, free throw champion, Mr. Hustle, and best playermaker.
Registration, housing and check-out for Overnight Camp will be held at Sutherland Hall Dormitory. Campers receive constant supervision, as coaches are housed on the same floors. The entire dorm is air-conditioned, and all meals are served in the building's cafeteria. Sheets and a pillow will be provided; campers must plan to bring blankets, towels and an alarm clock or clock-radio.
It is suggested that campers bring a week's worth of T-shirts, gym shorts, athletic shorts, athletic socks, towels and at least one good pair of basketball shoes.
