PITTSBURGH (AP) - Ben Howland became the first Pittsburgh coach to start at the school with three wins and five Panthers had 10 points or more in a 68-49 win over Indiana-Purdue-Indianapolis.
Pittsburgh got 14 points and 12 rebounds from junior forward Ricardo Greer. Jeremy Holmes and Chris Seabrooks had 12 each, while Brandin Knight had 11 and Donatas Zavackas had 10 points.
Pittsburgh led 45-15 with 1:55 remaining in the first half on Griffin Abel's layup.
The Jaguars, in only their second season playing Division I-A basketball, are 0-3. The Jaguars actually led 4-3 after 1:36. But the Panthers got hot, with each starter hitting a jumper.
