Panthers Defeat OGBM Legends, 75-66, In Overtime

PITTSBURGH
With just under a minute remaining in regulation, Pittsburgh found itself down 61-58 until senior Laine Selwyn (Coral Springs, Fla./Coral Springs) drained a 3-pointer to knot the score at 61 with 43 seconds remaining. Then, in overtime, Selwyn poured in seven points for the Panthers as they opened their slate in dramatic fashion.
Selwyn finished with 22 points and five assists to lead Pittsburgh, while newcomer Latoya Kincaid (West Helena, Ark./Central) added 15 points and nine boards. Sophomore Allisha Morris (Hampton, Va./Hampton) also had 11 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, while senior Brooke Stewart (North Versailles, Pa./East Allegheny) tallied 12 points.
Pittsburgh outshot the Legends, 41 percent to 32 percent, and also outrebounded them, 49-41.
The Legends held a slim 29-26 lead at the half.
The Panthers return to action next Saturday as they host Team Concept at 7 p.m. at the Petersen Events Center.
