Women's Soccer Wins Second Straight, Blanks Lehigh 3-0

The Pittsburgh women?s soccer team won its second straight match as it defeated Lehigh 3-0 Sunday at Founders Field. Pittsburgh improves to 3-1-0 while Lehigh drops to 1-2-0 overall.
Erin Hills gave Pittsburgh a 1-0 lead at the 33:60 mark in the first half on an unassisted goal. Laura Marsh made it 2-0 when she finished after receiving a pass from Jacqueline Fix at the 57:21 mark. Kimberly Sturk scored Pittsburgh?s final goal with eight minutes to go in the match.
Pittsburgh outshot Lehigh 14-6 and managed five corner kicks to Lehigh?s one. Goalkeeper Jamie Pelusi registered her second straight and second shutout of the year as she finished with five saves.
Pittsburgh is in action at the Ohio State Tournament Friday and Sunday, September 13-15 in Columbus, Ohio. The Panthers will play Bowling Green State on Friday at 5 p.m. and take on host Ohio State at 2 p.m.
