Women's Basketball Drops First Exhibition Game of the Season

Pittsburgh- The women?s basketball team dropped their first exhibition game of the season to UMMC Ekaterinburg of Russia. The score at the final buzzer was 72-56.
Sophomore Jennifer Brown led the Panthers in scoring in the first half with eight points during her 13 minutes pf play. Freshman Vika Sholokhova, from St. Petersburg, Russia, scored five points and led the team in rebounds during the first half with seven. Pittsburgh went into halftime trailing UMMC 37-24.
Pittsburgh battled back to within nine points of UMMC with 3:18 left in the game but was unable to hold of the Russian National team.
Sholokhova and Taylor were the team leaders in both total points and total rebounds. Sholokhova posted 13 total point and 12 total rebounds in her college career debut while Taylor scored 12 total points and made 13 total rebounds.
The Panthers will be back in action at home on Wednesday Nov. 17th against OGBM Legends in the last exhibition game of the season.
