Pittsburgh looks to get back to its winning ways as it hosts intra-state rival Penn State on Thursday night at the Petersen Events Center. Tip off is slated for 8 p.m. and will be televised nationally by College Sports Television (CSTV). Jason Knapp (play-by-play) and Debbie Antonelli (color) form the broadcast crew.
The Panthers (6-1) suffered their first loss of the year on Tuesday night as they fell to city-rival Duquesne, 82-71. Pittsburgh is looking to avenge last year?s setback to the Lady Lions, a 96-44 decision at the Bryce Jordan Center. Penn State is coming off an impressive 77-71 upset of nationally ranked North Carolina on Sunday.

Thursday?s contests marks the 35th meeting between Pittsburgh and Penn State with the Lady Lions leading the all-time series, 23-11. Pittsburgh dropped a 96-44 decision to Penn State last year in University Park. However, the Panthers upset then-No.11/12 Penn State, 92-88, in overtime at the Petersen Events Center on Dec. 14, 2002. The Pittsburgh victory snapped a three-game losing streak in the series.
