I would like to start by saying thank you to Coach Stottlemyer. This year marks Coach Stottlemyer?s 25th year as the head coach at the University of Pittsburgh. On a personal level it is hard to express how much Coach Stottlemyer has given me in my six years at the University of Pittsburgh. My experience as an athlete at Pitt was tremendous in all aspects and a huge part of that has to do with him. Pittsburgh to 16 top 30 finishes over the past 20 years, has produced a two-time national champion in Pat Santoro, 23 NCAA All-Americans, 97 national qualifiers and 22 EWL champions. Additionally, seven of his athletes have been honored as recipients of either the Blue-Gold or Panther Awards, the University of Pittsburgh?s most prestigious awards given to student athletes.
