The University of Pittsburgh Athletic Department and Head Women's Basketball Coach Agnus Berenato are excited to announce that the largest women's athletic event in the City of Pittsburgh, Pack the Petersen, will take place on Saturday, January 13, when the Pitt Women's Basketball team hosts Big East Conference rival St. John's. The 5th Annual Pack the Petersen is part of a basketball triple header in the Petersen Events Center.
The 5th Annual Pack the Petersen is presented by McDonald's, Edgar Snyder and Associates, and WTAE Channel 4. All tickets are only $1 and can be reserved by calling the Panthers Ticket Office at 1-800-643-PITT or online at www.pittsburghpanthers.com.
Coach Berenato and the Pitt women's basketball team will tip-off against St. John's in the afternoon (TBA) followed by Jamie Dixon and the Pitt men's basketball team who will host Georgetown at 9:00 p.m. in the Petersen Events Center.
The Pitt women's basketball team is currently 12-1 and ranked #24 in the country in the AP Poll and #23 USA Today Poll, respectively.
