
Pitt Survives Austin Peay in OT, 76-75

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -Jania Sims' jumper with 9.9 seconds left in overtime gave No. 21 Pittsburgh the lead for good and the Panthers beat Austin Peay 76-75 Sunday.
Sims, who finished with 12 points, scored the final three points in the extra period for Pittsburgh (9-1), adding a free throw with 1.4 seconds left to give the Panthers a three-point lead.
Ashley Herring missed a long 3-pointer for Austin Peay (3-8) and Meghan Bussabarger was fouled on the rebound with 1.4 seconds left.
Bussabarger made both to cut the lead back to one, but Pittsburgh got the ball in and ran out the clock.
Brittaney Thomas led Pittsburgh with 15 points and Chelsea Cole finished with 19 rebounds for Pittsburgh. Pepper Wilson grabbed an offensive rebound and kicked out to Sims for the game-tying three pointer with six seconds left in regulation.
Jasmine Rayner had 21 points and 12 rebounds for the Governors.
