PITTSBURGH - The University of Pittsburgh women's basketball team resumes action following the holiday break with an afternoon tipoff against cross-town rival Duquesne University at the Petersen Events Center at 2 p.m.
Pitt (10-1, 0-0 Big East) will be playing for the first time since Dec. 22 when they handed Western Kentucky a 76-60 defeat in Bowling Green, Ky., capping a two-game roadtrip down south.
The Panthers hold a 19-8 lead in the all-time series and have won four straight, including last year's 66-47 win at Duquesne (9-4, 0-0 Atlantic 10). Pitt has won its last two home games over Duquesne by an average margin of 15.5 points.
Pitt enters the game ranked 20th in the latest Associated Press poll and 19th in the latest ESPN/USA Today Coaches poll.
Tuesday's game will be tape delayed and broadcasted on FOX Sports Radio 970 AM. Greg Linnelli and Mike Clark will share the call between the Panthers and Dukes.
