Women's Tennis Sweeps St. Bonaventure

MONROEVILLE—Pitt’s women’s tennis team recorded its fourth consecutive shutout over St. Bonaventure, this evening, at The Club. The 7-0 victory improves the Panthers record to 5-0 for the first time since the 1991-92 season.
In singles action, senior Kristy Borza swept her opponent, while sophomore Adela Aprodu gave up just one game in each of her two sets.
In No. 1 singles, sophomore Elizabeth Adams won 6-2, 6-2 to improve to 5-0, this spring.
Freshman Minh Evans earned a win in No. 4 singles, giving up just one game in the first set and two in the second.
The match began with the Panthers earning the doubles points, as the No. 1 pair of Adams and Borza (8-2) and the No. 2 duo of Visram and D’Achille (8-0) garnered victories.
Pitt travels to conference foe Georgetown on Saturday, Feb. 21, at 6:30 p.m.
