PITTSBURGH- Each week the Big East Conference selects two track stand outs to serve as Athletes of the Week. This week, it was Pittsburgh senior Mycaiah Clemons turn to have the honor. Clemons was chosen out of a long list of other top notch athletes in the Big East for her performance at the Tyson Invitational in Arkansas.
Clemons has had an outstanding indoor season thus far. She hit the NCAA provisional time in the 60 meter hurdles at the Penn State National Open that was held on Jan. 30 and 31. This past weekend, Clemons competed at the Tyson Invitational hosted by Arkansas, qualifying for the ECAC Championships with a time of 8.46 seconds in the 60 meter hurdles.
Up next for Clemons is the Big East Championship meet which is to be held on Feb. 21 and 22. The meet will take place at the New Balance Track and Field Center at the Armory in New York, NY.
