Game Notes
*Pitt improved to 5-0 all-time against Loyola. This was the first time the teams had faced off in Baltimore.
*The win was the biggest comeback for Pitt in a game since a 58-57 win last season over Brown on Nov. 24, 2012. They overcame an identical 12-point deficit.
*The Panthers used their fourth-different starting lineup in five games.
*Asia Logan led the Panthers in scoring for the first time this season with her 15 points. Logan's nine rebounds marked a team-high, the fourth time the senior paced or co-paced the Panthers in that category.
*The Panthers committed a season-low eight turnovers; the fewest by a Pitt team since March 21, 2009 (6 turnovers vs. Montana in NCAA Tournament).
*Pitt had nine steals in the contest, second most this season in game. Freshman Chelsea Welch- who got the start for the first time of her collegiate career - had three swipes. She leads the team with nine on the season.
*For the second-straight game, Pitt connected on more than 78 percent of its free throw attempts. Pitt shot 15-of-19 from the charity stripe (.789).
*Brianna Kiesel had 12 points and has scored in double figures in each of Pitt's five games.
*Fred Potvin scored a season/career best 10 points; topping her previous high of three points from two games. Potvin was 4-of-8 from the field.
