PITTSBURGH - The University of Pittsburgh women's basketball team is encouraging fans to bring a brand new Teddy Bear to this Sunday's game vs. Youngstown State which will then be donated to the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
At halftime of the game which starts at 2 p.m., fans who bring a new stuffed animal with the tag still on will be asked to gather on the court and try to toss their stuffed animal into a designated area. Fans who are able to hit the mark will win a prize.
For the Children's Hospital to accept stuffed animals, they must be new and still have the tags on them.
The Panthers, who are in the midst of a seven game home stretch, have an overall record of 6-3 and host Ball State on Thursday evening before their game with Youngstown State on Sunday afternoon.
